C/2022 E3 (ZTF) @ 2022 December 25, 05:14 UT

Description:
In the early morning of December 25, 2022, I faced the challenge of imaging the comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) from my home observatory with relatively modest equipment and a sky with moderate light pollution (Bortle 6). To capture the length of the ion tail, greater than photographic field, I planned the session with a mosaic of two tiles repeated several times for each of the LRGB filters as the comet climbed over the horizon before morning twilight. In favor, that those days the comet was still moving slowly with respect to the celestial background. The result seems quite satisfactory to me given the conditions and the brightness of the comet then still at magnitude 7.5, in which the greenish coma of 8' in diameter is observed, the fan-shaped dust tail and the ionic tail with two degrees of lengt in which details of jets and knots can be seen.
